Power Plant Reinforcement
Carbon Fiber
Carbon fiber has the characteristics of high strength and high modulus, which can effectively restrain the deformation of concrete, improve the bearing capacity and crack resistance of concrete structures, and thus extend its service life.
Problem: Aging of concrete structure and wind and sand erosion
Many buildings and infrastructure in the power plant, such as plant buildings, cooling towers, chimneys, etc., are mostly made of concrete structures. After long-term use, the concrete has shown aging phenomena such as carbonization and cracking, resulting in a decrease in its strength and durability. In addition, the wind and sand in some areas are relatively strong, and the particles in the wind and sand will corrode the buildings of the power plant, wear the surface materials, and reduce the thickness and strength of the protective layer of the structure
Why use carbon fiber for reinforcement?
Carbon fiber has the characteristics of high strength and high modulus, which can effectively restrain the deformation of concrete, improve the bearing capacity and crack resistance of concrete structures, and thus extend its service life.
Carbon fiber has good wear resistance and wind and sand erosion resistance, and can be used as an effective protective material to enhance the erosion resistance of the surface of the structure and protect the internal structure from damage by wind and sand.
