Carbon Fiber For Reinforcement Structures
Specification requirements for carbon fiber [number of layers]
For Laminate:
The reinforcement amount of fiber composite materials should not exceed 2 layers for pre formed boards;
For Sheet:
For wet laid fabrics, it should not exceed 4 layers;
Standard interpretation: for the reliable anchoring of fiber composite materials and material conservation. If there are too many layers of carbon fiber, the reinforcement effect will be greatly reduced. At the same time, there are too many layers of carbon fiber, which requires an increase in the adhesive extension length, resulting in a certain degree of waste. Therefore, adjusting the spacing between carbon fibers is more reasonable and effective.
Specification requirements for carbon fiber [width]
For Laminate:
The width of each strip of fiber composite material should not exceed 200mm, and the entire fabric that has not been cut into strips should not be fully pasted;
Standard interpretation: The width of carbon fiber should not be too wide. If it is too wide, it is difficult to remove residual air inside, and the thickness of the adhesive layer is also difficult to control, which greatly reduces the quality of adhesion and affects the normal stress of the fiber fabric.
For Sheet:
Fiber fabrics can be cut with special scissors or cut to the desired size with high-quality art knives. The width of fabric cutting should not be less than 100mm;
Standard interpretation: The cutting width of carbon fiber should not be too small. If it is too small, the distance between fibers will be very short, which is prone to damage and affects the performance and quality of the material.
